Troubleshooting
Common radio issues are usually caused by microphone permissions, incorrect device settings, or range/network problems.
Microphone Allowed But Nobody Can Hear Me
Check the Windows sound settings. The correct microphone should be configured as the Default Communication Device under the Recording section of the Windows Sound Control Panel.
Red NPRADIO Messages in F8
If NP Radio is functioning normally, red NPRADIO console messages do not necessarily mean that the radio itself is broken. Some messages can happen because of network conditions or lag.
Out of Range
If a user sees Out Of Range, test the radio from another location such as Sandy Shores. They should also verify that they are not using a VPN or proxy because these connections may be blocked due to abuse prevention.
Server-wide issue
If every player is experiencing the problem, verify that np.auth is located in the main server directory and that NP Radio was installed correctly. If the issue continues after that, open a client support ticket.
